Processing.org Algorithmic Design
Processing is a flexible software sketchbook and a language for learning how to code within the context of the visual arts. Since 2001, Processing has promoted software literacy within the visual arts and visual literacy within technology. There are tens of thousands of students, artists, designers, researchers, and hobbyists who use Processing for learning and prototyping.

FluxStreets
Fluxstreets was co-founded in 2006 by Celso Singo Aramaki and Mato Obata in Tokyo, Japan. “At Flux Streets, we produce, develop, and deliver new microbrands within specific niche markets; monitor microbrand reputation; create and unify small business networks; manage online advertisement campaigns; and develop innovative solutions to improve data management, visualization, and comprehension.” Delayed by the financial crisis in 2007, Fluxstreets returned in 2008-2009 with outsourced development team and was sold as a Framework Project in 2010 for an Asian Advertising Agency with Asian Private Investors.

CoFesta, the Japan International Contents Festival, is a project designed to enhance the promotional capabilities of events related to Japan’s distinctive gaming, anime, manga, characters, broadcasting, music, movies, and other content industries, as well as events in content-related industries such as fashion and design, so that these events can more effectively reach international audiences.

The newspaper Folha de São Paulo is the centerpiece for Grupo Folha, a conglomerate that also controls UOL (Universo Online); Agora São Paulo; polling institute Datafolha; publishing house Publifolha; book imprint Três Estrelas and printing company Plural. Folhinha is the kids section of the newspaper.

Founded in 1994 by Celso Singo Aramaki in Tokyo, Japan, iMedia Design worked with Design and Multimedia Contents, including visual production for music videos of bands which aired on MTV US. The internal team also made interviews with japanese artists for overseas magazines, newspapers and TV Channels.

Visualizing Community Formation on PDAs
To advance this field, the challenge is to encourage group communication by providing information that encourages community formation. As the first step towards this goal, we experimentally implemented the community viewer, which dynamically visualizes the communication interaction among people in the community.

This new venue at SIGGRAPH 97 connected to other parts of the conference and increased opportunities for hands-on learning. The goal was to enhance learning by providing the latest computer graphics hardware and software, and highly interactive access to the techniques and ideas presented at the conference.

Evolutionary Computation provides an international forum for facilitating and enhancing the exchange of information among researchers involved in both the theoretical and practical aspects of computational systems of an evolutionary nature.
